DMCA Policy

4. Actions We Take on Valid DMCA Requests

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, Geeksgene.com will:

  • Review the complaint.
  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content.
  • Notify the user/uploader that their content has been removed.
  • Provide instructions for filing a counter-notice if they believe the removal is based on a mistake or misidentification.

5. Counter-Notification Process (For Affected Users)

If your content was removed and you believe it was done so incorrectly or mistakenly, you may file a DMCA Counter-Notice. Your counter-notice must include the following information:

  1. Identification of the content that has been removed and its original location on Geeksgene.com.
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed due to misidentification or mistake.

  4. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts in your region and that you will accept service of process from the party who submitted the original DMCA notice.

6. What Happens After a Counter-Notification?

Once a valid counter-notice is received:

  • We will forward it to the original complainant.
  • If the complainant does not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed content.
  • Geeksgene.com is not required to restore content if it violates any other policies or laws.

7. Repeat Infringer Policy

Geeksgene.com reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights.
  • Block access to IP addresses involved in repeated violations.
  • Remove any content that violates copyright law or our editorial standards.
